Early Summer--Off to A Good Start!

Pete's softball games, the girls with their matching doll outfits (keeping my girls young as long I can!), Redbirds games, enjoying the deck and hammock and grillin' out, Backyard Bash at the Botanic Gardens, playdates, Todd Snider concert at the Levitt Shell with the Kinneys and the Mills families, Molly goes to summer camp...

For a family that didn't go on a vacation, we sure got around!

Sisters in Beantown

Meredith lives in Worcester, MA, just outside Boston. I joined her for a long weekend--just the sisters! Since we're Walshes, baseball was a must. We saw the Pawtucket Red Sox (AAA affiliate for the Boston Red Sox) in Rhode Island and, of course, a game at historic Fenway--with an exciting walk-off run to end the game! Mer lives in a house on a lake, so we took advantage of the sea kayak at her place, as well as the lovely porch, where we ate our meals. The organization of Burmese refugees with which she volunteers hosted a World Refugee Day while I was in town--much singing and dancing in beautiful traditional Kareni garments.
